4月15日 Thinking of PodcastingThe idea is a resource for local (Aussie) Worship teams by local Worship teams. The general theme is to discuss the use of technology in enabling worship - from microphones and foldback monitors to computers and projectors. But also to include topics which all Worship teams have to deal with. It'll be called Worship Wednesday and be featured on a new podcasting channel I'm creating call Channel 42. Twitter/Facebook/Email me your thoughts. R42 5月6日 Leading WorshipLed worship again this morning - and had a great time.
Highlights include one of my current favourites "How Great is our God" and one of the other worship leaders, Matt Johnston, leading into Communion with a song off of his recent worship album.
Finished up with a more traditional "Blessed Assurance," and was encouraged by the enthusiasm from the congregation.

Today was the first Sunday in 6 months that I had the opportunity to lead worship. At our church we have a team system for the morning service where we have 3 teams. So each team leads every three weeks, and is rostered on for 3 months.
Every 3 months the roster gets reorganised, which allows for different people get a chance to lead. After leading for the last couple years, I took the last two rosters off. But this morning (church must be scraping the barrel) I was back on roster.
To say I was stoked, is an understatement. The whole week I found it difficult to focus on anything else. From the theme, to the process, to the intros, to the songs, I listened, and planned, and prayed at every spare moment.
I really did enjoyed the service though, worth all of the work and preparation. I really pray that others did too... |
